Fridah is the Founder of Zidicircle, a peer to peer online lending platform that brings together international investors and entrepreneurs in Africa. She has extensive expertise in impact investments, Agri-Financing, Supply chain Finance and financial markets regulations in Europe and Sub-saharan Africa (SSA).
She has closed Equity/debt investments flowing from EU & US into SSA and coordinated a dutch multi-million euro Finance4Agriculture programme in East Africa. she was involved in the restructuring, fintech product development and profitability design projects for several banks in East and Southern Africa( Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Botswana).
She gained wide experience in impact investment analysis and Circular Economy business and financing models while at the Dutch giant pension Fund. She was also a lead in the issuance of treasury securities and Financial Markets Intelligence at the Central bank of Kenya (CBK). With a total of 14 years financial sector experience she has worked for KWAL, CBK, PGGM, Financial Access and ZidiCircle.
Fridah has a Msc in Finance-Financial Markets Regulation from Duisenberg school of Finance in the Netherlands. She also holds a bachelor of Commerce –Finance (Catholic University of Eastern Africa and Accountancy training from Strathmore University. She carries the Duisenberg title ‘Woman in Finance’ that was awarded in conjunction with QS Quacquarelli Symonds in the UK that recognizes high potential women that can influence the financial landscape. Currently she is the Director & Founder of ZidiCircle and a member of CoP 2 Access to Finance for Migrant Entreprenuers EMEN (EU project).
